Another popular dieting buzz is the rice diet.  This diet is really not at all what it sounds like.  Rice is not the cornerstone of the diet.  Instead the diet is primarily based on a vegetarian diet that consists of fruits and vegetables, grains, and beans.  The diet is a supervised diet developed by Duke University for rapid weight loss.  If you are considering diet plans, a low carb diet or something similar may be the right selection.  The rice plan of dieting is very strict and only designed for those that are obese, diabetic, and have hypertension.

 

When trying to get to your ideal weight, there are many temptations to try and follow any type of diet plan, but often we don’t get all the information in the program.  We take parts of diets and try to make our own healthy recipes without knowing exactly what we are doing.  The effects of not following a diet closely can be detrimental to our success.  Dieting is not about the latest and greatest fads, it is really about the lifestyle changes we need to make.  You can jump on the diet bandwagon, but not confronting the root cause will only set you back.  Set proper dieting goals with a professional and your success rates will certainly improve.
