Dash Diet - A Hypertension Solution

Dashing to Diet - What it Means for the Future

The dash diet is a popular diet that is similar to many other nutrition related diets that have come before.  Dash stands for dietary approach to stop hypertension.  This diet popular among those with high blood pressure is very similar to the ancient macrobiotic diet.  This diet approaches health and fitness on a holistic and spiritual basis similar to a yin and yang theory.  Dash is rich in whole grains, fish, fruits, and vegetables.  It is a well rounded diet with no room for all the processed foods and snacks that we are accustomed to eating.

Dash Diets - A Way of Life

Weight loss is crucial to many faced with hypertension, much of which is caused by a poor diet.  Our bodies process foods similarly, but some are more susceptible to certain conditions and require special diets.  As you have probably noticed, the low carb diet is the antithesis of the dash.  Dash is a way of life, not a cycle of two week increments like many other diets.  One must learn to live differently if they expect to change symptoms in their unhealthy lifestyle.  Changing a diet is very difficult, but the more you learn the easier dieting gets and the faster the results appear.
